Staff Meetings among other things
Today there was suppose to be a staff meeting - yeah right, who is our manager trying to kid. It turned out to be a handing out of the new uniforms. All I wanted while I worked the *winter* here was a fleece jacket - I asked so many times if we could have jackets instead of vests - it made more sense. Get this - everyone who is staying for the *summer* gets not one jacket - but two!! Perfect I freeze all winter and for the summer everyone gets two fleece jackets.
Already we are suffering the loss of Len, the piles of paper on his desk are growing - I keep suggesting to my co-workers we should really deal with everything we can then make sure the Operations Manager (or PR guy) has the rest. I think they are forgetting that it won't be delt with if it is just tucked onto the desk! Also between new girl A, who's favourite line is "I don't know.... I'm not sure... I really don't know" and new girl B, "yeah, um, uh-hun" I'm pretty sure I'm going to go nuts. The best part everyone is turning to me for everything - or maybe that's the worst. Either way I've got 9 shifts left.
My roommate is at it again - I've got two complaints this time. One: when you forget your keys at another apartment go and get them - don't wake your roommate up in the middle of the night to let you into the house. Two: if you are going to be involved with two guys - please don't make me cover for you with the nice one... Next time he calls I'll be telling him exactly where you are.
I'm getting to the point where I am avoiding my room-mate altogether. I go for walks with Abby and Maggie whenever I can, I go out with girls that won't stand to have her along, and I hang out at Matt & Lisa's or Jen's until I'm sure she's out. I can take it - only 10 days till moving day!
