Puke and other nasty things
Why do underage kids who find someone to by them alcohol feel the need to drink it all at once? I mean hasn't anybody ever taken the time to explain that a Mickey and a half in a little over an hour is a bad idea. And why do all the kids come out on Canada Day? I was volunteering with my first aid organization on July 1st getting set to see the fireworks and listening to great music. I should have known better - problem 1 - fireworks are at night; night is dark and thus people drink. I missed the fireworks again this year because at approximately the same time the first rocket went up our underage drunk started to puke - and he continued for the duration of the show. I could really have done without seeing all of that rum and coke again!!Something else I found gross was how much damage fake nails could do. A fight broke out between two girls and before the police could break it up GirlA managed to inflict some serious damage. GirlB had chunks of skin missing from her elbows and hands, and long scrape marks down her neck. Who would have thought that French manicured gel nails would cause so much damage?
To be fair I was impressed with one thing over the night though, the efficiency of the police. I am not suggesting that I agree with them overstepping their boundaries by pulling buses over and pulling the alcohol off the bus, but they are efficient. If a fight broke out and one or two police officers noticed; within 20 seconds there were at least 15 cops present to break it up! That is necessary especially when you have families down for the festivities as well.
